KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Council #8063
Due to lack of interest, our Knights Council has suspended meetings. We will resume when there is sufficient interest in the parish.
A message from the Grand Knight
Greetings Brother Knights,
Congratulations! Council #8063 has been successfully transferred to Mary Immaculate Gallatin, MO. This has been a tedious process, and as a result we may have lost some of our membership records. I am asking our members to re-register and submit transfers on the K of C website. This will ensure that our current roster is accurate and up to date. This allows the Council to bill membership dues and more easily communicate with its membership.
We have also received a thank you letter from the Pregnancy Resource Center concerning our participation in the Baby Bottle Fund Raising Efforts. Due to our Parish generosity, we were able to collect just over $200.00 for this effort.
We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Meeting attendance has been sparce. The council can set its own time and day for the monthly meeting. The meeting times and days are totally at the members discretion, so if a better meeting schedule would help, let’s talk about it.
Annual election of officers takes place each June. As we have successfully completed the transfer to Mary Immaculate, my task is now complete, I will not be seeking to serve as Grand Knight in the next Fraternal Year. The viability of any organization depends on engaged membership. There is a minimum of 4 key positions that need gentlemen to serve in. This is your council, and your choice on its continued success.
